Erosion and Sediment Control Services

ADH has an excellent track record of proper implementation of erosion and sediment control measures to maintain surrounding water quality and assist our client’s in meeting Construction General Permit requirements.
ADH has provided our clients project support ranging from regulatory liaison representation to the collection of water quality sampling.
ADH has provided erosion and sediment control construction inspection services for bridge replacement/construction, tunnels, roads and highways, liner underground, various facility structures, mining operations and creek restoration projects. (City of Napa flooded prior to a creek restoration project)

ADH has developed comprehensive expertise assisting clients with their compliance obligations for municipal, industrial, construction, federal, and state projects. Responsibilities in these roles have included NPDES compliance reports, field inspection and implementation of BMPs related to construction activities. Activities have included field sampling and analysis to ensure compliance with applicable construction activity permits, DFG, USACE, California EPA, SWRCB and respective RWQCB’s requirements. We have Qualified SWPPP Developers/Practitioners (QSD/P) located throughout much of California and staff that are also trained and certified as active treatment system (ATS) operators. We have provided BMP implementation field reviews, project risk level determination, design phase BMP selection and implementation plans, field sampling and analysis to ensure compliance with all applicable construction permits, and Stormwater Multiple Application and Report Tracking System (SMARTS) training and implementation.

  • Attendance of pre-construction meetings to provide expert support reviewing and consulting on the contract requirements related to Water Pollution Control
  • Expert technical assistance and training for use and account management of SWRCB SMARTS online account
  • Expert reviews of project Category 20 files, SWPPPs, WPCPs, and construction sites to verify proper preparation, implementation, and to identify and correct plan deficiencies associated with construction activities
  • Supervision and/or performance of field-testing measurements of physical characteristics and other parameters (e.g., pH, turbidity, temperature, dissolved oxygen, conductivity, total dissolved solids).

Clients include California Department of Transportation (Caltrans), municipalities, city and county agencies, U.S. Air Force, private industry, Native American Tribes, U.S Bureau of Reclamation (USBR), public works, flood control districts, Pacific Gas and Electric (PG&E), US Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), state parks, and numerous large environmental and engineering firms. Projects have been performed in coordination with, respect to and/or reviewed by the following: U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), California State Water Resources Control Board (SWRCB), respective Regional Water Quality Control Boards (RWQCB), and California Department of Fish & Game (DFG).
